Literacy at TSD- interactive websites

In what areas of student achievement in literacy do you wish you had more online resources for student use?

What are you using and how are you using it? What doesn't work and needs tweaked or removed?

On the newer Macs, there is the speech capability where you can highlight any text in any program and the computer will read it. Also You could have the kids read their own work into Garageband and then they can either share or listen to themselves to work on fluency.

I would love to see Words Their Way activities online...perhaps they are, but just have not found them yet.

I need more websites where students can work on grammar and sentence structure--high school level grammar "games."

The Words Their Way templates are in the Online Toolkit on FirstClass. It should be on your FC Desktop (or go to district, district resources, right click PC or control click Mac and choose Add to Desktop). Inside the Online Toolkit, go to Language Arts and Elementary.

We are constantly looking for good and new websites. Anyone who has one to suggest, please do so here or in FirstClass.
To find Websites we have located, go to the Instructional Technology conference in First Class which should be on your FC Desktop (if not go to District, District Conferences, and right click PC or control click Mac on the Instructional Technology conference). Inside Instructional Technology you can go to several areas such as Elem or Secondary or specific to Internet Safety, Information LIteracy or Web 2.0 Blogs and more. Anyone can add an email with information in these areas. Please do share resources.

Keep asking for new specific sites and we all can help each other find them.
