Learning Management System and Blogging in Thompson

A learning or content management system like Moodle or Blackboard can be a beneficial instructional tool extending classrooms and the district into an online classroom. A blog environment connecting all Thompson's blogs can increase collaboration and communication opportunities.

LHS and TVHS have pilot Moodle systems running. Many teachers utilize websites, wikis, blogs, and other web 2.0 tools to extend their classroom environments. How can we offer this approach to all students? What are your thoughts about how Thompson should move forward as a district in these arenas?

E2T2 that started today is a good start. Students should have access to these opportunities, but it will take some investment of time and effort (such as the work done by some coaches/participants in the E2T2/ETIL work being done now)
